Winnex Air Ducted Explosion-Proof Air Conditioner | Concealed Explosion-Proof Ducted Unit for Concealed Air Supply in Hazardous Areas

The Winnex Air ducted explosion-proof air conditioner is designed for Zone 1 and Zone 2 explosive hazardous areas in strict accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and the EN 60079 series. Explosion-proof marking: Ex db mb IIC T4 Gb. The indoor unit is ceiling-concealed and connects to ductwork for multi-outlet air distribution, with an optional high-static-pressure model for long-distance air supply. The outdoor unit can be flexibly installed on roofs, balconies or outdoor racks. The unit is suitable for hazardous areas where explosive atmospheres formed by Group ⅡA, ⅡB, ⅡC flammable gases or vapours and temperature classes T1–T4 may be present, providing a concealed, stable and efficient temperature control solution for chemical workshops, oil and gas control rooms, pharmaceutical explosion-proof clean rooms, hazardous chemical storage rooms and explosion-proof laboratories.

Key Advantages

• Concealed ceiling installation frees up floor space. The indoor unit is concealed within the ceiling, preserving floor area and maintaining interior appearance. Ducted air supply allows multiple outlets to be arranged within the room, and the optional high-static-pressure model supports long-distance air delivery for uniform air distribution in large spaces.

• ATEX compliance for Zone 1/2 hazardous areas. Strictly compliant with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and the EN 60079 series, with explosion-proof marking Ex db mb IIC T4 Gb. Suitable for Group IIA/IIB/IIC, T1–T4 explosive gas or vapour atmospheres, meeting the compliance requirements of hazardous-area HVAC equipment.

• Microcomputer automatic control with multiple protections. All operating parameters are factory-preset, with automatic operation, automatic fault checking and automatic on/off settings. The unit provides temperature display, fault indication, indoor-unit cold-air prevention and overheating prevention, and built-in electrical protections including overload, overcurrent, high/low pressure, phase sequence, phase loss/reversal and time delay for simple and safe operation.

• High-efficiency heat exchange and rapid response. A brand-name expansion valve serves as the throttling element, adjusting refrigerant flow according to load. The heat exchanger uses internally grooved copper tubes and hydrophilic fins for high heat transfer efficiency and rapid cooling and heating response. Temperature control responds quickly with accurate adjustment, indoor airflow is evenly distributed, and fresh air intake is supported to continuously improve indoor air quality.

• Low-noise explosion-proof fan for quiet operation. The indoor unit uses a low-noise explosion-proof centrifugal fan with reliable explosion protection, high air volume and low noise. The unit adopts an ultra-quiet design, making it suitable for control rooms, clean rooms and laboratories with noise requirements.

• No water system — simplified installation. The system eliminates the water system and terminal equipment, reducing on-site installation costs and construction complexity. The outdoor unit can be installed on roofs, balconies, outdoor racks and other locations for flexible installation.

Typical Applications

Chemical workshops, oil and gas control rooms, pharmaceutical explosion-proof clean rooms, hazardous chemical storage rooms, explosion-proof laboratories and other hazardous areas containing explosive mixtures of flammable gases or vapours. Particularly suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 locations with combined requirements for space utilization, air distribution, noise control and explosion-proof compliance.
