Winnex Air Marine & Offshore Rooftop HVAC Unit
Product Overview
The Winnex Air Marine & Offshore Rooftop HVAC Unit is an all-in-one climate control system engineered for harsh offshore environments including offshore platforms, marine work vessels and skid-mounted offshore cabins. It integrates cooling, heating, dehumidification and ventilation into one packaged unit.
Marine environments feature heavy salt spray, high humidity, intense UV radiation and continuous vibration, which easily cause coil corrosion, refrigerant leakage and heat transfer degradation in conventional air conditioning equipment. To address these challenges, the evaporator and condenser coils of Winnex Air rooftop units are fully coated with Heresite protective coating. It delivers C5-M heavy marine corrosion protection without sacrificing thermal performance, extending service life and cutting maintenance expenses for offshore installations.
This packaged rooftop unit features a compact, weatherproof enclosure with excellent sealing performance. Simple installation without complicated ductwork, it can be mounted directly on vessel decks or offshore cabin roofs, saving valuable interior cabin space. The whole unit is structurally reinforced for vibration resistance to sustain continuous operation under vessel tilting and shaking conditions.
Core Advantages
● Heresite Coated Heat Exchangers for Marine-Grade Salt Spray Corrosion Resistance
Evaporator and condenser coils are factory-coated with Heresite phenolic epoxy coating, specially engineered for C5-M heavy corrosive offshore environments. Validated by thousands of hours of salt spray and aging tests, the coating delivers strong adhesion and flexibility, resisting peeling and cracking. It protects coils against salt fog, high humidity and UV exposure while preserving excellent heat transfer performance, eliminating common offshore HVAC failures such as coil perforation, refrigerant leakage and heat capacity loss. The unit casing adopts thick corrosion-resistant plates with marine coating for comprehensive anti-corrosion protection.
● Integrated Rooftop Packaged Design for Modular Offshore Deployment
This rooftop packaged HVAC unit is fully pre-assembled at factory. On-site commissioning only requires fixing and power connection, greatly shortening offshore construction time. Compact footprint and high-integrity sealing prevent rainwater and seawater splash ingress. Multiple cooling capacity options are available to match crew living quarters, equipment control rooms and offshore skid shelters of different sizes.
● Vibration & Tilt Resistance for Dynamic Vessel & Offshore Platform Conditions
Compressors, piping and fans are reinforced with anti-loosening and shock-absorbing structures to cope with continuous vibration and vessel tilt during navigation and offshore operations. It prevents refrigerant line loosening and leakage, ensuring stable continuous operation for 24/7 offshore service.
● Intelligent Control System for Unattended Offshore Operation
Equipped with an industrial microprocessor controller for precise temperature and humidity regulation. Standard features include power-fail auto-restart, automatic fault alarms and operating data logging. Optional RS485 communication interface enables integration with vessel central control or platform SCADA systems for remote monitoring and centralized management. Reserved dry contacts support fire alarm interlock to comply with offshore safety requirements.
● High-Efficiency Heat Transfer & Reliable All-Weather Climate Control
High-performance internally grooved copper coils combined with Heresite coating balance corrosion resistance and heat exchange efficiency, avoiding capacity drop and higher power consumption caused by conventional anti-corrosion coatings. Equipped with variable-speed compressors and low-noise fans, the unit provides stable heating and cooling to adapt to large temperature swings and high humidity typical of offshore environments.
Application Fields
Offshore oil & gas platforms, marine construction vessels, ocean cargo ships, skid-mounted offshore cabins, offshore energy storage containers, ship control rooms, crew accommodation cabins, marine research monitoring cabins and other marine and offshore facilities.
